Michelle Halford, from interior styling blog, The Design Chaser, inspires interior addicts every day with her interior styling skills.

From her kitchen to her kid’s bedrooms and even the hallway, Michelle manages to beautifully decorate every corner of her home, creating an environment that anyone would be envious to live in.

Inspired by a Scandinavian, minimalist theme, Michelle adorns her home with touches of soft wooden furnishings that offset the cool muted tones of her décor.

Michelle has used many of Mocka’s products in her home to create a modern, Scandinavian style. Below are a few tips on how you can achieve The Design Chaser look in your home.

Kitchen

Michelle’s kitchen features white cupboards and muted grey bench tops. To add a warm Scandinavian element to her light filled kitchen, Michelle used Mocka’s contemporary Hudson Bar Stools which provides the space with soft natural wooden features. To complement Mocka’s Hudson Stools, Michelle adorns her kitchen with crisp white ceramic kitchen décor and wooden utensils.

Hallway

If your hallway is looking a little drab, try sprucing it up with Mocka’s famous Jimmy Stand. Michelle is a professional at styling the Jimmy Stand and has inspired many budding stylists to get creative and decorate the end of their hallway using a Jimmy Stand.

Style your Jimmy Stand with a vase of flowers, your favourite coffee table books and a felt basket for a contemporary look.

Bathroom

Are you limited on space in your bathroom? Michelle added extra storage to her ensuite by styling Mocka’s white Post Box 2 into the space. Mocka’s Post Box is made from plastic so it’s easy to clean and won’t bend or warp if it gets wet. Its simplistic modern shape doesn’t overpower the room, complementing the Scandinavian style perfectly.

Kids Bedroom

Do you dream of your children having stylish and cool bedrooms? Michelle inspires parents to create beautiful children’s bedrooms that incorporate modern style, while still creating a fun environment for your child.

To keep in line with her Scandinavian and minimalist theme, Michelle decided to create a monochrome themed bedroom for her son. Michelle chose to use Mocka’s Brooklyn Single Bed and Bed Boxes in her son’s bedroom for their simple designs. These contemporary pieces provided her with perfect foundation to decorate the bedroom with beautiful linen and décor pieces.

To continue with the monochrome theme, Michelle added Mocka’s Six Cube Storage Unit with black doors as the storage piece for the bedroom. Mocka’s Storage Units feature a simple design with clean lines that enables you to hide away or display your child’s favourite belongings.
