Get The Block Look with Mocka
Are you addicted to watching The Block NZ? Does watching this television show make you want to renovate or redecorate your home? Last Friday we saw The Block contestants reveal their beautiful kitchens and dining rooms. One room that caught our eyes was the dining room designed by Quinn and Ben. If you love the look as much as we do you can easily recreate it by adding a few pieces of furniture and décor to your home. You can draw inspiration from this room and create a similar look for your bedroom, office or dining room. Quinn and Ben’s space features a neutral foundation including wooden flooring and white walls. Starting with a neutral foundation makes it easy to incorporate different colours when it comes time to style the room. To get a similar look start by adding neutral features to your home using furniture with a black, white or wooden finish. Item’s including our Floating Shelves, Brooklyn Drawers, Trestle Desks, Hudson Bar Stool or Hudson Chair are perfect contemporary pieces to add the neutral colour pallet to your space. Once you have your neutral colour pallet sorted you can begin to add splashes of colour to the space by adding your favourite décor items. One piece of décor that was well received by the The Block's Judges was the Zebra Print in Quinn and Ben's dining room. Mocka’s Zany Zebra Paint Art is a similar piece to the one that Quinn and Ben used and will add a splash of colour to your space. You can then draw colour inspiration from the colours in the painting to accentuate the room. Quinn and Ben drew colour inspiration from the accents of the yellow in the painting and featured that throughout their dining space to brighten up the room. Drawing colour inspiration from a painting is a great way to bring your styling together to make the room look cohesive. Try using Mocka’s yellow Industrial Stools or yellow Adult Acapulco Lounge Chair to bring out the yellow in the painting and the yellow in your wooden furniture. If you are working with dark timber then try adding accents of red using Mocka’s red Industrial stools, red Asta Adult Chair, red Post Box or even a few of Mocka’s red Stacka Boxes. The Block is great for learning how to easily style the rooms in your home. Quinn and Ben’s dining room shows you how to draw colour inspiration from one painting to feature that colour throughout the rest of the room. Enjoy adding colour and fun to a room using Mocka’s Paint Art and colourful products. Quinn and Ben's Dining Room and KitchenMocka Paint Art [product id="620"]
