The Aspiring Cot is constructed of sturdy New Zealand Pine and does not include a drop side which means you and your baby can enjoy a stronger, safer cot. Plus without the need for fiddly latches, the Aspiring Cot is easier to use and noticeably more solid and sturdy.
Featuring an adjustable base, you can raise or lower to suit your baby's age and development. As an added bonus, add the Aspiring Toddler Conversion to convert this cot into a toddler bed to last you for many years to come.

Very happy with the cot. It's hard to find cots with fixed sides - most are drop down. Being from North America where drop down sides have been illegal for some now, I was happy to find this fixed sided cot here for a great price.Value
It did have a few minor marks on one of the sides but wasn't a big deal. Their customer service is good so I'm sure they would have dealt with it if it bothered me. I didn't care as I put that side by the wall and was keen to start using it.

This is an awesome cot that is a great size for any baby that is transitioning from a bassinet into a cot. The colours are also very retro and for the price ! You can’t beat it. I purchased the white/natural aspiring cot. I realise it's a cheap product but I'm incredibly dissapointed by the finish. The white parts are fine but the finish on the 'natural' end pieces is so poor that while carefully putting it together it got several scratches. Because it obviously scratched so easily when putting the sheets on I took my rings off and my fingernails brushing over it was enough to further damage the finish. It literally scratches off with next to no pressure leaving obvious marks all over it. I wish I had chosen the white one.Value

At first I thought the cot was perfect, but I've been noticing many rough patches where it hasn't been sanded properly. This shows less than optimal quality control, and I'm not sure how safe it is for a baby's delicate skin. It should be smooth all over. Very disappointing. Cot bars are square and too far apart, my baby gets her feet caught through them. The cot wood has dints in the pine and is painted poorly. The plastic screws were hard to remove. Sorry Mocka but from the reviews I had such high expectations for this cot.Value
Firstly the smell is rather strong and I know it's non toxic etc but still - for a baby item especially I expected little to no smell.

I can't speak highly enough of Mocka.Value
We were initially apprehensive to purchase a cot and mattress without seeing them (in the flesh), but given the reasonable pricing we thought it was worth the punt and my gosh am I pleased we did! Their service and the quality was outstanding! Despite living rurally, our cot and mattress arrived in a couple of days, was super easy to put up (took 15 mins max!) and the quality is superb!

I love the look and size of this cot - so much so that I purchased two (for our twins!). However the finishing lets it down a little...Value
The plastic screws that you 'pop out' are quite difficult to pop out, and my partner smashed his fingers on the cot in doing so *insert profanity here*. It would also be great to have screw hole caps/covers as the holes where the screws go are a little unsightly and makes it look unfinished. This may be a safety thing though?

We spent a long time looking at different cots in stores, reading reviews online and looking at safety standards both New Zealand and international before making the decision to buy this cot. At the time we were tossing up between the Aspiring and Amalfi Cots. We eventually decided on the Aspiring as we liked the look of it better, my only concern being that the Amalfi looked slightly sturdier in design from the pictures and the rails looked to have less of a gap between them. I can happily say though, that when the cot arrived, we were very pleasantly surprised by how sturdy and stable it was. The wooden rails are very sturdy (I was worried they looked a bit thin in the pictures) and close enough together that I will never worry about my wee one getting caught between them. It doesn't have dangerous drop sides, and the inner-sprung cot mattress, also purchased on Mocka fits perfectly. It's such a far cry from the over-priced, dangerous, wobbly looking cots we saw in stores. It is also very nice looking, came well packaged and was easy to put together. Absolutely stoked with this cot. My daughter has slept in it from 3 months old, she's now 8 months old and we've recently put it down to the next level. I'm so happy we got this cot. The price is amazing, shipping and follow up was fast and it looks great. The cot arrived a couple of days after we ordered it, and when we assembled it I was very pleased with how sturdy and stylish it looked. This cot has been really great (bubs is 5 months old and have used from 8 weeks). A good height and nice and simple. My only complaint is that we were sent the wrong colour. Mocka did offer to change the cot however at no cost but due to the time of year (Christmas) we just ran with the one we were sent. Would recommend this cot to a friend. You really can't beat this cot for value for money... It's easy to put together, even by yourself. I ordered the green which had a few small paint chips, but it doesn't take away from the functionality. I love that it has two mattress levels, it really helps to stop backache when you're still recovering from the birth. I will use this on all of my future children! Highly recommended.
